One Last Drink

A commission for my good friend Tsuruchi Rose, which was a gift for her main squeeze. Hida Daizu is one of his favorite characters, as I understand it, and this image is based on a joke between him and Drew Baker, among a few others. That's Hida Kisada's grave, and Daizu is raising one last toast to a fallen hero.

I need to work on the atmosphere of my art, in addition to my composition. Even so, I'm pleased with the colorwork, and I like how most of the foreground turned out. There are still many things that require attention, however.

This was done entirely in Photoshop. The characters belong to AEG (L5R), not me.
